Considering the size of this prop, I had to explore a new workflow to avoid having to use sizable textures while sticking to a high texel density. To make this possible, I had to create two atlases of decals, low-res masks and do a lot of texture-stacking and reconstruction in Unreal Engine 5. I sure learned a whole lot with this project.
